"Find Your Deal!" isn’t just a slogan—it’s the heart of everything I’ve done for Gabe’s. As an Associate Copywriter and social media strategist on the marketing team, my goal is to connect with our customers in a way that truly resonates. I want them to know exactly what’s in stores so they can shop for their families while staying within budget.

When our audience reads, hears, or double-taps something I’ve created, they know we get them. And I make sure it’s exciting, too. Gabe’s is, above all, a fun place to shop—and our social media reflects that. (So, coincidentally, does my closet.)

Social Media

From crafting value-driven copy and editing content to delivering Oscar-worthy performances (yes, that’s me!), I dive headfirst into social media—staying on top of trends and tailoring language to match each brand and platform. This has been my approach for both Gabe’s and Old Time Pottery, following the acquisition in 2023.

Landing Pages & Blogs

Whether it’s seasonal blogs featuring merchandise highlights and budgeting tips or SEO-optimized landing pages, I keep headlines punchy and value-driven, with a copy flow that’s bright, helpful, and informative. Each month, I strategize, write, and work with the Gabe’s web and design teams to activate more than four unique landing pages and up to five blog posts. Fun fact: I have written the Top 3 most popular blogs on the Gabe’s website.

Email Copy

Straight to the consumer’s inbox, my emails reach an audience of 1M on the Gabe’s distribution list, with a 35% average open rate. Through more than 12 emails a month, we share the latest brand debuts, product announcements, sale promotions, and seasonal highlights, all seamlessly tied together with savings-focused subject lines (and maybe an emoji or two!).

Freelance

As a freelance writer, I’ve had the opportunity to optimize copy for SEO and craft compelling product descriptions across various retail departments—beauty, apparel, wedding, and more. Whether enhancing brand messaging or creating engaging, keyword-driven content, I focus on delivering high-quality, strategic, and thoroughly proofed copy that amplifies your message and resonates with your audience.

An award-winning student-led public relations & advertising agency based out of West Virginia University’s Reed School of Media and Communications.

Account Goal

To raise awareness among WVU students about the significance of the First Amendment and actively engage them in efforts to safeguard it from potential threats.

The First Amendment Account

This two-part campaign first tested students' understanding of the First Amendment through a panel and trivia game, then demonstrated the consequences of its demise by depriving students of freedoms—"closing" the Free Speech Zone, disrupting campus events, and promoting censorship through provocative posters and digital displays.
